MEET TERI UNDERHILL

Teri Underhill is a multi cultural, multi genre talent with the gift of storytelling from heartbreak to wisdom teeth. Teri uses her background of Hawaiian heritage to mix in with modern pop creating the unique sound of 'Hibiscus Pop' as she coins.

Growing up, Teri struggled with autism and severe anxiety making her often the “shy, quiet” girl in the room. However once Teri is given a microphone she becomes the loudest voice in the room sharing vocal abilities her great Samoan grandmother had.

“Underhill has already been dubbed “an undeniable talent” by the legendary Joel Rafael of Vigilantes of Love” - Fame Magazine UK

Teri Rosalani Underhill (Born April 27th, 2000), known as Teri Underhill, is an American singer/songwriter, dancer, poet, creative and author. Growing up in a diverse family (Polynesian/Puerto Rican mom, English/German dad), Teri was exposed to all genres of music expanding her mind to be limitless to what she dreams of.

Teri was raised in Norwalk, Iowa but spent her summers living with her family in Maui, Hawai’i. With Hawaiian and Samoan blood in her body, she often turned to music to understand her culture and family.

Since 2019, Teri Underhill decided to use her voice to help other women and the LGBTQ+ community as much as she could from her original feminist song titled ENOUGH to performing for Planned Parenthood events. Teri has helped raise over $800 for Planned Parenthood just from performing at these events.

In 2023, Teri hosted and produced the Malama Maui concert, a benefit show in Iowa to raise funds for her home island of Maui from the wildfires. With the help of local hula group Aloha Wind, Teri was able to raise over $3,000 from this event and helped out 8 individual families.

Teri Underhill has since released her debut poetry book ‘Tsunami’ in 2020, released her first album Salt ‘n Citrus in 2021, and dove into directing with her first self-made short film WAVES.
